7 Projects to Shoot in a Toronto Studio

Written by Viva Studio Rentals Team

Commercial video, product photography and interviews each need a different setup. Check the space, lighting, audio and load-in each project needs before booking Viva Studio Rentals.

The studio rental covers the space and its listed base equipment. Arrange your own crew, cameras, lenses, props and production audio.

7 projects to shoot in the studio

1. Commercial and branded video

Use the 45 × 40 ft stage dimensions to plan camera movement, set pieces, lighting and monitors. Confirm the full layout and load-in during a Tech Scout.

2. Product and e-commerce photography

The 25 × 25 ft pre-lit white cyc provides a seamless background for products and full-body frames. Review the studio gallery and confirm the final lighting plan before the shoot.

Use the 1,000 sq ft flex space for sets and staging. Products, surfaces, props, and styling materials are supplied by the production.

3. Fashion and editorial photography

The cyc, 200 sq ft hair and makeup room, and 200 sq ft green room support a fashion or editorial schedule when the planned crew and wardrobe fit the space.

Allow time for wardrobe changes, lighting resets, fittings and image selects. The base package includes four Aputure Nova P300c lights and six C-Stands; additional equipment is separate.

4. Corporate interviews and training videos

Use the same background and lighting setup for related interviews, explainers and training videos. Viva is sound-treated, not soundproof, so test microphones and outside noise during a Tech Scout.

Arrange the interview crew, cameras, microphones, recorders and any teleprompter separately.

5. Product demonstrations and social content

Shoot product demonstrations, short-form video or a series of related clips on the cyc or a production-built set. Plan the framing options before the shoot.

List the aspect ratios, product versions, opening lines and calls to action you need. Confirm the equipment and crew for each setup.

6. Set-based film and video scenes

The 2,000 sq ft soundstage can hold production-supplied flats, furniture, props, and set pieces when the layout fits the stage and access path.

The 4 ft truck-height dock and 8 × 10 ft door support load-in. Confirm the largest item, floor protection, rigging, and strike plan during the Tech Scout.

7. Music videos

Music videos are supported when the concept, crew, equipment, set, schedule, and budget fit the booking. The pre-lit cyc can provide a simple performance background.

Production audio, playback, cameras, lenses, and additional lighting are not part of the base studio package. Confirm them separately.

Include setup and pack-out in your schedule. Confirm that every planned scene fits the booked window.
