What comes with the studio.

Viva Studio Rentals is a music video studio in Etobicoke, Toronto, with full blackout, a 25 × 25 ft pre-lit cyc, and a grid hung at 13.5 ft under 18 ft ceilings for top light and practicals. Four Aputure Nova P300c space-lights are included. Additional equipment is available à la carte through Viva Camera.

The stage is sound-treated, not soundproof, and booking is one production at a time, with no other crew in the building. The 45 × 40 ft floor takes choreography and camera moves, while the 1,000 sq ft of flex space next door keeps clients and monitors out of frame. Assess any live-audio requirements during a tech scout.

The studio is staffed Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Confirmed productions can arrange overnight or weekend access. The truck-height dock and its 8×10 ft door take backline and set pieces.

Quick answer

Can I book the studio overnight for a music video?

Yes. The studio is staffed Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and confirmed productions can arrange early, late, weekend, or overnight access. One production receives private facility use. Bring the schedule, lighting plan, and load-in requirements to a free 30-minute Tech Scout before booking.

Performance on the cyc

The 25 × 25 ft cyc is pre-lit and seamless white when you arrive. Want it in the artist’s colour? The repaint add-on runs $300 for a floor refresh or $1,000 for a full colour swap, chroma key green for green screen work included.
Blackout and hard light

Full blackout gives the lighting team a controlled starting point. Hang top light from the grid at 13.5 ft, shape harder sources, and use the four included Nova P300c space-lights for the base layer.
Choreography on the 45 × 40 floor

The full stage floor holds choreography and a camera move at the same time. 18 ft ceilings keep the wide shots wide.
The overnight shoot

Overnight access can be arranged for confirmed productions.
