What comes with the studio.

Viva Studio Rentals is a 4,500 sq ft private production facility at 777 The Queensway in Etobicoke, Toronto. Its 2,000 sq ft sound-treated soundstage has a truck-height dock with an 8×10 ft door, so gear and set pieces roll straight onto the 45 × 40 ft floor.

The stage is sound-treated, not soundproof, and occasional outside noise can bleed in. Ten sound blankets in the rate help manage reflections. Dialogue and live-audio requirements should be assessed during a tech scout. We book one production at a time, with no other crew in the building.

The studio is staffed Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Confirmed productions can arrange early, late, weekend, and overnight access, with direct access to a studio and equipment manager.

Bring the lighting plan, equipment list, and department heads to the free tech scout. We will review the room, grid, load-in, and technical requirements before the production day.

How much does a Toronto film studio rental cost?

Viva Studio Rentals costs $450 for 3 hours, $750 for 6 hours, or $1,200 for 12 hours. Every tier includes private facility use, the soundstage, pre-hung house lighting, basic grip, support rooms, parking, WiFi, truck-level load-in, and manager access. Optional equipment, overtime, and cyc repaints are billed separately.

Dialogue on the stage

The stage is sound-treated, not soundproof. Use the tech scout to test the room, choose microphone positions, and plan around occasional outside noise.
Set builds on the 45 × 40 floor

Flats and set pieces roll off the truck, through the 8×10 ft dock door, straight onto the stage. 18 ft ceilings leave room to build up.
Overhead rigging and top light

The grid hangs at 13.5 ft, and four Aputure Nova P300c space-lights come with the room. Additional fixtures and grip are available à la carte through Viva Camera.
Video village off the floor

1,000 sq ft of flex space next to the stage keeps client monitors, agency chairs, and staging out of frame. The green room and hair-and-makeup room hold talent off set.
