Start with the idea, shot list, and delivery format, then choose the cameras, lenses, lighting, grip, audio, and post-production tools required for the work.
Review the studio gallery, then compare the stage and cyc with the project’s set, lighting, camera, and movement plan.
What Viva Includes and What Is Separate
Viva Studio Rentals combines a 2,000 sq ft stage with a 25 × 25 ft pre-lit white cyc, four Aputure Nova P300c lights, six C-Stands, and ten sound blankets. The stage is sound-treated, not soundproof. Viva is a visual production studio, not a recording studio. Additional cameras, lenses, lighting, and grip are available separately through Viva Camera at the fixed 25% studio-client discount. Use a Tech Scout to confirm that the facility and equipment plan fit the project.
If a project needs chroma key or motion capture, define the required stage treatment, equipment, crew, and post-production workflow before booking. Do not assume those tools or specialists are included in a studio rental.
Choose Capture and Post-Production Tools
Select each tool for a defined job, operator, file format, and delivery requirement.
Select tools after the creative approach is clear. Run a practical test of unfamiliar equipment before the shoot, assign a qualified operator where needed, and leave time for setup, calibration, data handling, and backups.
Match Equipment to the Deliverables
Select the camera, lenses, lighting, grip, and audio from the shot list, delivery specifications, and crew experience. Review technical and rigging requirements before booking.
Editing and effects belong in the post-production plan. Double-check the software, file formats, storage, backups, and operator before the shoot so the captured media can move into the intended workflow.
Plan and Test the Equipment Setup
Create an equipment list from the shot plan and final deliverables. Double-check each camera, lens, light, grip item, audio tool, and operator before the studio day, then test any unfamiliar setup in advance.
Document additional equipment, specialist operators, and post-production work separately when the shot plan requires them.
Confirm the Equipment Plan
If the project needs a complete production and crew, Viva can refer the request to Viva Media. Assign every remaining operator, recording tool, set, prop, and post-production task before booking.
Build the equipment list from the final format and shot plan, then confirm what must be brought and what can be rented separately. Review the Toronto studio rental.
